Thakmo HPP
The project was built in 1995 and is located on the Be river, 180 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

This project is a multipurpose one, and is designed for power supply and river flow control in order to increase average daily flow in dry seasons for use in water supplies to agricultural and industrial facilities, and for irrigation.

Ukrhydroproject PJSC has elaborated design for HPP main structures including:

  • headrace canal;
  • water intake;
  • penstocks;
  • powerhouse with two units of general capacity 150MW;
  • tailrace canal;
  • 110/35/10 kV outdoor switchyard;
  • gate bay of flood spillway;
  • high-frequency communication.

Main parameters of the project:

Max discharge through the structures (of firm probability 0.1%) 4122 m3/s
max static head 108 m
HPP installed capacity 150 MW
average annual output 611 mln kW h
