Tashlyk Hydro Pumped Storage Project
The project is located on the the South Bug river, in Nikolaev region, in the south of Ukraine, and is now under construction. It has been designed for generating of peak power for the south-west part of the Integrated Power Network of Ukraine.

It includes:

  • upstream reservoir;
  • earthfill dam (max height about 50m);
  • flood spillway;
  • penstocks;
  • powerhouse with six turbine-pumps, general capacity of 906 MW;
  • water intake of 32m high;
  • tailrace canal.

The powerhouse will be equipped with six pump turbines, of total capacity - 905 MW in the generating mode and -1325 MW in the pumping mode.

Head in the generating mode is 88 m.
