Design works are being carried out for Kaniv HPSP, to be located on the Dnieper river in Kaniv District, Cherkasy region, Ukraine. This development is called for solution of a problem of the coverage of variable loads in the power network, structural optimization of the generating facilities, improving of operation modes at thermal power plants, and for use as a quick-opening emergency and frequency reserve.
