Can Don HPP
The project is located on the Be river, downstream the ThakMo HPP, in the south of Vietnam; these two objects form a cascade of hydro plants.

Can Don HPP is a complex structure. It is designed for:

  • power supply of the southern regions of Vietnam;
  • irrigation of about 4800 hectare of agricultural lands.

It includes:

  • power house with water intake and diversion canal;
  • erection bay building;
  • right-bank concrete dam;
  • 110kV outdoor switchyard;
  • near-station bay.

Main parameters of the project:

max discharge through the structures 5560 m3/s
max static head 36.50 m
HPP installed capacity 72 MW
average annual output 297.40 mln kW h
